Oil Portrait #5

Here is the last oil studio portrait, isn't very good, but i tried a new way to put strokes on panel. Like more free and separated between them, avoiding smooth surfaces and shapes blending... but kip the same effect. Happy with the effect, but not with the painting.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Based on the original story (and trying to be far from the Disney version) here is my illustration painted on photoshop. The line-draw was made by hand and have some errors on people proportions...

Rembrandt part II

As I posted here "Rembrandt Part I"... finally i finished the oil version of the Rembrandt Self Portrait from 1640... it took me a while but I the result was very decent.

Here is the original.

Here is my b&w master-copy on oil over panel. (18x24)

And here just for fun... how bad I did... the copy wasn't using any tracing method... just painting from a picture... hahahha look.... Now I have to accept that I painted Rembrandt's brother...

Big Hall

Here is a line-draw of a big palace room from the 19th century. Mixing things from a medieval Spanish style and a simplified french palace. For the character the idea was to show different attitude in both sides of the mirror. The reflection on the mirror is constructed using geometric perspective. Who wanted to be a princess?

Fighting with the ink

There is a post behind this, where I put the lovely couple, that solves their problems with the dialogue. Now here is the same draw but in the background, that put the fight in context.

And finally I inked with a big brush playing to create the mood, increase the tension, and learn how to get something decent with India ink. Of course this is the simplified background.
